Hope in a Hopeless Time: My Take on COVID-19 & Entrepreneurship

I know we all have mixed thoughts and feelings surrounding these circumstances. We are all struggling to try and survive at a time where it's so easy to feel a sense of hopelessness. But, allow me to inspire you a bit!

Now, more than ever, indie artists have a unique opportunity to propel our brands! We literally have a captive audience to cater to. If we can focus more on our targets, then we can use these lemons to make some sweet lemonade.

Entrepreneurs have a unique opportunity as well! Have you had an itch to launch a business, but didn't have the time or energy to do so? Now could be your time! Many of us have lost our jobs. Many businesses were not prepared to adapt to this drastic market change.

Entrepreneurship has been rising steadily in the US for the last decade. Many of us, use our talents and hobbies as "side-hustles" to draw that extra income we need to keep our heads above water. I say, revamp and/or partner with other causes that call us to keep our communities afloat as we navigate the troubled waters of this uncertain ocean.

As an independent artist, I had my own plans to continue the growth from last year. I felt I finally had my formula down! I had to make sudden changes even before this moment.

It's times like these that really make me reflect on what I have and be grateful. I'm no stranger to loss, I'm sure you're not either! But, I am still here and so I still have a purpose. YOU still have a purpose.

Maybe this could be your opportunity to jump feet first into finding your happy place and refilling your cup. Maybe you have been considering quitting your job for a while now. Maybe you have been feeling like you need to spend more time with your loved ones. Or, maybe you have already started an idea that you have procrastinated on taking to the next level! Stress, loss, and conflict do not have to affect us negatively each time. There can be some good from this. "Make the best of a bad situation" so-to-speak!

It is important that we stay abreast of the facts, but don't let paranoia and fear control us!

It is important that we practice social-distancing, but don't let isolation make us lonely!

At a time like this, social media can be our friend and is proving to be an aide in maintaining our sanity! Pick up your phone and call your loved ones! Throw a video conference party with your friends!

I will be coming up with creative ways to engage you as my website member. Feel free to email me or comment on my social pages if there is anything you would like to see me do to keep you entertained. I will work it into my schedule! Stay safe and healthy, please!

With Love,
